FAQ

Everything patients ask before they start.

Getting started

What is the sleep check?+

A short, free screening questionnaire about snoring, daytime sleepiness, observed breathing pauses, blood pressure, and body-mass range. It takes about two minutes and requires no account or payment. It is a screening tool only, it does not diagnose sleep apnea or recommend treatment.

Who is Rize for?+

Adults in the United States who suspect they may have obstructive sleep apnea. If you report emergency symptoms, chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or falling asleep while driving, we stop the flow and direct you to urgent care instead.

Do I need an account?+

Not to screen. After your result you can save your place in My Rize Journey so your answers, documents, and status carry forward and you never have to start over.

Physician review and testing

Who reviews my information?+

A board-certified physician licensed in your state. Review is typically asynchronous, but the physician may request a short video visit, order a home sleep apnea test, or escalate to in-person care.

How long does review take?+

Usually one to three business days. You can check the current status and next action in My Rize Journey at any time.

Will I need an in-lab sleep study?+

Often not. Home sleep apnea testing is appropriate for many adults with suspected moderate-to-severe OSA and no major comorbidities. In-lab studies are reserved for cases where they are clinically indicated.

What if my test is negative or inconclusive?+

You get a clear explanation and a next step, a repeat test, a different evaluation, or a referral. A negative result does not mean your sleep problem is dismissed.

Cost, insurance, and equipment

What does Rize cost?+

The sleep check and clinical questions are $0 to complete and submit. A $149 physician-service fee applies only if a prescription is made available and you choose to receive the signed prescription and supporting documents. Testing and equipment are quoted before you agree to them.

Can I use insurance?+

If you have coverage, Rize can compare the likely insurance path against self-pay before you commit, including network checks for the connected insurance physician route. Your plan makes the final coverage decision, and you make the final choice.

Do I have to buy equipment from Rize?+

No. Your prescription is portable. You can download the signed documents or have them securely sent to any qualified supplier. That choice never changes the physician's decision.

What is in the equipment bundle?+

An auto-adjusting CPAP machine, a mask in the style and size matched to your fit answers, heated tubing, filters, a humidification chamber, and starter supplies, typically around $950 before tax, with monthly payment options subject to approval.

What if the mask does not fit?+

Fit help and exchange eligibility are shown before checkout, and coaching continues after setup. Mask discomfort is the most common reason people abandon therapy, so we treat it as a support problem, not a customer-service afterthought.

Two minutes is all it takes to find out.

No account, no payment, no commitment.
